Returning player, build help and 7-Hero questions!
Hi all!
I'm a returning player that came back beacuse of the new uppdates. I just need NCsoft to reset my password.
In the mean time I have been reading the forums and goten exited about the new 7-Hero builds. And also tried to get som answers.
Could you please point out any glaring holes in the below build? It's drawn from the builds I see posted a lot now, and the goal with it is to run me and a freind trough all four campains as easy as possible. Also, if this build could Vanquish and clear missions in all campaines in HM it would be awesome. Also, I propably won't have that much runes and good equipment for the Heros, so keep that in mind
I also have som questions that I can't seam to find a clear answer on:
* Now with the Hero update, you can for ma ful party with only heros?
* Mercenary Heros let you use and char on you account as a hero, PvE or PvP?
* Can you use Mercenery Heroes right of the bat wit ha new PvE char, right at the start so to speak?
This is the build:
I have tried to cover all the angels, Hex removal with 2xconvert hex as it dosn't take any att. investment. Condition removal with the synergy with spirits and mend body. Hex spread and shoutdown with the Mesmers. Condition spread with minions and necros. Enchant removal with drain enchat and disenchantment.
Most damge is armor ignoring, with HM in mind.
I haven't played GW in a long time, so not sure if this build is good enugh for it's goal?

I don't know if these are the right answers to your questions but I'm trying to answer them.
1.) As far as I understand this question: Yes you can fill your party fully with heroes. So you can choose 7 out of the heroes you want in the 8-men areas.
2.) Mercenary heroes can be used on both PvE/PvP characters. You can't use a hero of the character you are currently playing, but you can on other characters.
3.) I'm not sure. I think you can get them as soon as you have acces to the Great temple of balthazar (and maybe Embark Beach?). IMO mercenary heroes are awesome, because you can have 3 necro/2 rits on a newly made character without having to get them in quests.
About the builds. I don't know what profession you are, but if you or your friend aint a ritualist I would to drop out a necro and put in another SoS rit with resto skills. You can also make a N/Rt SoLS healer of one of the necros. And maybe IMO if you/your friend is the elementalist in the team, play ER Infuser and put in something else for the necro. Just whatever you like.
It's just my words but I'm not a great fan of discord(way).

Yes, SoS = Signet of Spirits. It adds a good amount of damage and will ensure that there will be a lot of spirits around for Mend Body and Soul to solve all your condition problems.
Also, SoLS does refer to Signet of Lost Souls. An N/Rt healer is basically just a Necro that uses Soul Reaping and SoLS to spam Rit heals non-stop.
EDIT: Also, your SoGM bar is going to have big energy problems. Putting all the spirits up will cost 50e (that's taking into account the Boon of Creation benefit). AoU is another 5e. If BoC needs to be recast that's another 10e. Convert Hexes is 15e... it'll never get used.

For the SoGM-rit I recommend you to drop out SoGM and add in ST (Soul Twisting). This increases the mobility and energy management.
Anyways SoGM is a nice skill, but I think it will indirectly eat your energy, because ST reduces the cost of spirits.
About N/Rt SoLS healer: it's like Marty said a necro that uses restoration spells in combination with soul reaping and Signet of Lost Souls. So IMO a very nice healer and useful hero to take with you. Especially because my monks usually spam too much which gets them out of energy.
Anyways I've been trying something for you. It's pretty the setup I usually use. One thing I am keeping unsure about is healing. IMO it has enough heals and protection. Also the mesmers 'avoid' a lot of damage.
